Episode 10 - ITunes Can Be a Full Media Center
With the latest updates to ITunes any Digital RV’er can carry all their media in ITunes alone. The following quick podcast shows the site host’s music library, small movie library, and TV series library as well. With a portable hard drive, like a LaCie for instance, you can pack days and days of entertainment in a small amount of space. Take a look and see how much media is on my personal ITunes setup.

The only thing that I don’t like about iTunes is the fact that if you store all your media files on an external HD (like I do) so that it’s portable, if you accidently start up iTunes without it connected, it treats all the files as missing.
I’m hoping that someday Apple will come up with a way to auto-check for files like Adobe does with its Lightroom program. Other than that, Itunes is the best organization for media that I’ve seen. The St. Petersburg Times tech writer recently wrote that the ‘Windows Media Center’ was the best thing out there, but I think he’s paid to say that. Of course, it could be that I’m not being impartial here. But he does endorse a LOT of microsoft products, even when there are better things out there. I.e. - he’s still promoting IE7 as the best browser and the most secure….. Yeah, not going there.
Aside from all that - great podcast Rich! You truly have the knack for taking the technical to the personal!
